Our old Firefox would give you the option to save the sites you are browsing before you exit. Now the new one does not give one the option of saving a Site before you exit. How do we do this now with the new Firefox?

If for instance you opened 6 sites and you want to exit Firefox, the old firefox would give you options to save those site before you exit or even warn you when you are about to close multiple windows you have open. The advantage of this is that you can always reopen the sites you browsed before. But i cant find such options in the the new firefox

Firefox 4.0 automatically saves your session when you close Firefox. To "restore" your previous session use Restore Previous Session on the default about:home homepage or History > Restore Previous Session.

There was a change in Firefox 4.0 to stop Firefox displaying various warning messages, but they can be turned back on by changing a few preferences.

  1. Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
  2. Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
  3. Locate the preference browser.tabs.warnOnClose, if its value is set to false, double-click on it to change its value to true
  4. Repeat this for these 3 preferences browser.warnOnQuit, browser.warnOnRestart, browser.showQuitWarning
