Is there any way to turn off the Google Safe Browsing feature?
Or at least, replace Google's 'safe list' with one I actually trust?

Tools > Options -> Security - Block reported attack sites and ... web forgeries
Be aware that if you use third-party software (extensions) that they can stop working at any time after Firefox has updated or for other reasons or cause malfunctioning of Firefox.
