Why up/down arrows do not scroll properly on image search ?
The down arrow takes it all the way to the bottom of the search and the same with the up arrow all the way to the top nothing in the middle The page up and page down keys work properly. The up down arrows work properly on other pages it just malfunctions on the image search page.

You may have switched on caret browsing.
You can press press F7 (on Mac: fn + F7) to toggle caret browsing on/off.
