When I log in to the Michigan State Lottery Players Club no winning numbers are displayed and it is no longer possible to redeem my tickets for points. No Java box appears.

If you check your plugins page, do you see Java listed there?

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category

Note that disabled plugins cluster toward the bottom.

If it's listed, and Enabled, then it should work. You can test on Oracle's test page here:

http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp

If it's not listed, browser integration might be turned off. Try finding Java in the Windows control panel, then check on the security tab (see attached image).

By the way, most sites do not require Java. If in doubt, do you want to post the URL here?

Hi Quinnie, if Firefox reports that it has disabled Java, it usually means you are several versions behind. Any reason not to get the latest? I think the Java test page above should lead you to the download.
