Why does my first pinned tab always load as the google play store when I don't have that saved as a pinned tab? This happens to every site pinned in first tab.

This happens no matter how many tabs I have pinned and no matter what site is supposed to be in that first pinned tab. If I close that tab and close and reopen firefox, the next tab in line that became first now loads as the google play store. I can see that for a couple seconds it starts to load the correct site. Then it loads the google play store instead.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

It appears to have been Web Developer 1.2.5. After disabling my extensions and adding them one at a time, I discovered that the issue only occurred when Web Developer 1.2.5 was enabled. I have restarted Firefox 10+ times since I removed that extension without the problem returning.
