suddenly i do not get the "download complete" popup at the bottom of my screen when i download anything..also,download "box" at top left changed..why?
up until yesterday, every time i would download anything,i would get a "popup" at the bottom right side of my screen saying "download complete"...now i don't see that..also,when i click on my downloads option in my "tools" at the top right, the box that appears has changed in how it looks..it still shows my downloads, but the appearance of the box has changed..neither of these issues is any "biggie"..lol..nothing to fret over..but i would just like to know why this has happened suddenly if i made no changes to my firefox..anyone????

The user interface for downloads changed in Firefox 20. There was a setting you could change in about:config to restore the old style. That setting was in Firefox 20-25, but no longer exists in Firefox 26. So you probably changed that and now are experiencing the standard interface.
This article describes/illustrates the green arrow icon you should see on your toolbar, which animates when a download is complete: Where to find and manage downloaded files in Firefox.
If you would like a more comprehensive view of downloads, you could try this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-status-bar/ (I saw it mentioned in another post, but haven't tried it myself)

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can check the browser.download.* pref(s) on the about:config page and reset user set (bold) prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.
You can leave the browser.download.importedFromSqlite pref at its current value.
