I wish to send email from MS Word using Thunderbird. Does Thunderbird support MAPI? Does Windows 7 actually employ MAPI? How do I set up both?

TB supports simple MAPI, and in a perfect world it would be sufficient to set TB as the default email program to have it accept commands from Word. See this discussion for more info: http://gsfn.us/t/2yv0n
