I have two computers and I want to sync between them. I created an account and logged on both. I got my addons and everything else but I have a question : How do I make sure that all my preferences from my 1st computer is applied on my 2nd ? Basically, I want to discard preferences on the 2nd computer and apply the ones from the 1st. I don't want my 1st computer to be modified by the 2nd one.

Preferences for add-ons may not use the Sync process. It depends upon the particular add-on; if the add-on created its' own file or folder to hold its' preferences and if the add-on was specifically written to use the Sync service.

If your goal is to make Firefox on computer 2 the same as on computer 1, you might be better off just copying the Firefox Profile on comp 1 over to comp 2 - then to rely on Sync. But there are situations where that won't work; like going from a Windows PC to a MAc or Linux PC; Windows to Windows is usually the most successful "transfer". https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

So, basically, the only way to do it with Firefox Sync is to clean all the bookmarks and addons on the 2nd computer so I guaratee a clean transfer. Thanks, the-edmeister
