I have windows8 and after an update of Firefox (30.0 to 31.0) the scroll function is not working. If I push on the down arrow it will direct to the end of the page instead of a smooth scroll.. Reinstall firefox doesn't work. All the settings are set right.

hello, please press F7 in order to leave caret browsing mode - then the behaviour should be back to normal...

You can toggle caret browsing on/off by pressing F7 (Mac: fn + F7).

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Accessibility: [ ] "Always use the cursor keys to navigate within pages"

Note that this is an accessibility feature of Firefox.
