5 times dailyfor 7 days a firefox security update download pops up insisting that I down load this up date to protect my computer. According to the firefox page there is a security patch is available. This update does not download and will not show up on my computers download app. When I stop this update after 5 minutes of it spinning around and unable to connect to server no trace of this update is found on my computer.

Hi nhch, try the next:

1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html (full installer-all languages)

2. Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean install.

3. Install the version that you have downloaded.

Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.
