Firefox 35, window 7 64 bit, My cable fiber internet speed is 15 mbps download/2 mbps upload. Firefox frequently locks up, I may have 7 to 20 tabs open. I wait a couple of minutes and the lock up does not clear. I check it in windows task manager it shows not responding . In task manager I close it . I then restart Firefox. The tabs from last closed session, are in new session and show loading data. I have to click on each tab to complete the tab loading.

The issue of the tabs not loading until you click on them is expected, it's a feature called "On demand loading" that reduces resource requirements when Firefox starts up since all the pages aren't loading at the same time. You can disable it by unchecking "Don't load tabs until selected" in Tab preferences and settings.

As for the freezing issue, try to Reset Firefox, Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings. Also try to make sure that Windows is fully up to date, and Update your graphics driver, Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL
