When I click on "update" I go to "add ons manager"? Why? I just clicked on "update"! Then the "check for updates" page does not respond anyway. What is happening?

hi mrsmurrayau, i am sorry that this is happening - this currently appears to be a bug on the website when you have an outdated and blocked version of java present. please see if the plugin-check runs correctly if you click on the plugin icon on the top left of the address bar and allow java to run (see screenshot).

alternatively you can download an update for flash player from: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (if you are on windows, use the .exe for plugin-based browsers). updates for java can be found here: https://www.java.com/download/
