how do I add bookmark and put it in subfolder in one step?
I'm at a loss to figure out how I can bookmark a page and have the bookmark be in a subfolder of my bookmarks. I used to be able to do this easily, now I have no idea, other than to click the star, which animates over into the icon next to it, then go into manage bookmarks and manually drag it from my recently bookmarked folder into where I want it to go. Is there an easier way? (using FF35 on a mac) RJH

See this support article to learn how to save a new bookmark in the folder that you want it in - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/create-bookmarks-save-your-favorite-webpages
A 2nd click on the Star will open "Edit this Bookmark" and provides for selecting the folder you want that bookmark saved in. In that support article under "How do I change the name and location of a bookmark?" see the line where is says "Folder" and use the "down-arrow" on the right to see more folders to select from.
Add Bookmark Here ² makes that process a bit easier by remembering your settings when using that extension. It provides a larger "view-port" for more folders to be seen, and allows the user to "drag" that "view-port" even larger, which will be remembered for "next time". See the 3rd screenshot on the linked page to that extension.

I can't believe Mozilla would actually create a browser where you have to install a plugin just to add a bookmark in the right place. What?
Is there really not a way to put a bookmark in a subfolder I've created to hold bookmarks of a certain topic, without using a plugin?

Thank you very much. That is "the answer" I was looking for.
