When I move a bookmark on the toolbar, it keeps going back to where it was

I've set up sync between firefox 37 on three Windows 7 computers. When I try to move/relocate a bookmark on the toolbar, it only moves for the current session. When I starup ffox again or on another computer, the bookmark has gone back to its original location. It's a bit annoying (first-world problem). What can I do to make my relocations stick for all sync'd setups?

Try to disconnect all computers from Sync temporarily.

Check if that makes the change work when you close and restart Firefox.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync (temporarily) while performing maintenance/repair efforts to the places.sqlite database.
