My Mac G4 is running OSX 10.5.8 and has a dual 1.42GHz PowerPC processor by Motorola. It does not have the 'latest' processor which I gather is made by Intel. When I access a site using firefox, a yellow banner appears across the top saying "some plugins used by this page are out of date". I have tried to update the plugins by hitting the button labeled "update plugins" and, after following all the steps, was told that there are no updates available. That yellow banner is annoying and takes up valuable screen space; I have to "X" out of it with practically every page I open and this is tiresome. HOW can I EITHER 1) get appropriate updates to stop that banner from appearing, OR 2) simply remove the banner permanently? Please email your response to me at: ++++++++@aol.com Thanks. Edtech

Unfortunately that is not possible. I'd suggest you install http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/ so you have a more modern web browser, but unfortunately plugins will not run on that old of a machine anymore. I'd suggest saving up for a more modern computer
