I just updated my firefox 40.0.3. suddenly I cant download mp3 file. when I click to download mp3 file it will be playing in streaming media player. I tried to change some value in about:config but didn't fix this problem.

Kindly do needful help for the same asap.

hello, please try to reset any changes you have done in about:config so far.

then enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named media.play-stand-alone. double-click it and change its value to false.
