Bug? When I open add-ons (FF 45.0.2) now asks for a password.
Not sure if this is simply a bug or an unannounced update feature of Procon Latte or Fire Fox (45.0.2).
I just noticed today (4-19-16) that when I click the Add-Ons option in the drop menu I get a pop up asking for a password. Says "password protection", if I click cancel it opens a blank white page.
I have noticed that it looks similar to and takes the same password as the "Procon Latte Content Filter" (v4.0.2) add-on. Seems it is triggering its password just by opening the add-ons now. Don't really mind a password to block people from disabling the filters, but don't think it should be so preemptive. It should ask when clicking the "disable" button, which it does not do btw, not when simply opening the add-ons menu.

I'm not familiar with that extension, so you would have to check its Options/Preferences, either via a specific menu entry or via the about:addons page. They nay have changed the defaults. You can try to contact the developer of the extension for support if you can't figure out how to proceed.

For now, try this;
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
While still in Safe Mode,
Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)
Select Extensions, locate the add-on. From here you can disable or remove it.
cor-el; I did check the available options and didn't see anything about requiring a password for opening add-ons in general. Just the set password option for the add-on it self.
FredMcD; The problem is gone in safe mode, most likely since all add-ons are disabled. I'm not having trouble with removing or disabling, just wondering why it is now popping up the password box for all add-ons.
If I remove the password from Procon Latte, the pop up box is gone, if I add a password it comes back. Some kind of issue with it and FF I guess.
I did finally find the dev support page and came across a post with this reply;

The expected result is to be prompted for the password when you access the add-ons page. Just tested on Firefox 45.0.2 and still working as expected.
If this does not occur, could you please give me a step-by-step example to test?
Thanks
So it seems it is suppose to ask for the password upon opening the add-ons menu now. Thank you for your time and replies, guess I should have dug a bit deeper.
This is probably done to prevent users from disabling the extension, to make it possible to circumvent its protection. That still wouldn't help against starting Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key. Extensions are really not suited to protect knowledgeable users against making modifications.
That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.
