Firefox continually crashes when I try to open the app. The crash reporter opens up, submits the report, then repeats this process over and over again. I'm unable to get it to start up in safe mode and the refresh button causes the program not to respond. I've even gone as far as to try a clean install but once the install is finished and I try to open the app, I go right back to the crash reporter opening up. Any help in fixing this problem would be awesome.

hi nlemalu76, we have seen quite a number of similar reports about this issue in the last hours and this issue is likely caused by your symantec security software that is hooking into firefox (probably through a program/signature update done by them). other users reported that updating firefox in this situation helped with the crashes. on windows vista you can download & install the latest firefox from https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-48.0.2-sha1&os=win&lang=en-US
