After scrolling through a few webpages, a beep tone that resembles a number pressed on a phone has come up on a few of them. This only started happening on the 14/01/2017. I am not sure whether this is Firefox or not.

Firefox itself doesn't make any sounds. Check your add-ons.

Thanks for the info. I was going to one of the author's addon page that I have installed and something weird came up. It looked like I was logged into an account with the name of anmelden or anmeldon. I middle mouse clicked the name and instead of opening up the link in a new tab it took me to a login page. After clicking back, the area where it had anmelden or anmeldon then said login. I do not have a mozilla account named anmeldon or anmelden associated to the login page: https://auth.mozilla.auth0.com/login?client=rehgg9cqVmHJbHw3jPYUzoU5BYYBH6XL&protocol=oauth2&state=759b336485778e3aa554ba38af51804ddd234556b7933a26&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fdiscourse.mozilla-community.org%2Fauth%2Fauth0%2Fcallback&connection=&response_type=code

That I can't help with. I called for more help.

Thanks. Do you know how a pc that is running standalone could have been logged into a mozilla account?

Also do you know the settings in Firefox that have to be edited to change the position of a new tab when opened?

Are you sure you don't have a account on https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/ ? That's where that Mozilla login page link was trying to take you. You probably clicked on a link on the addon author's page that redirected you there. Which addon page were you checking out? A link to it would help, thanks.

As for the beep noise, a full look at the list of addons you have installed would help. Please type about:support into your url bar, press enter then highlight and copy & paste the Extensions section here. I'll review them to see which one may be causing it so you can disable it and stop the annoying beep. :)

The beep noise issue was resolved in an earlier message from FredMcD on 1/13/17 at 5.25PM.

As posted previously, I do not have an account named anmelden or anmeldon. To my knowledge, my pc has not been accessed by anyone else other than myself either. So I am unsure on how an account could come up as being logged in when I first went to an author's addon page.

In the about:support tab, is there an option that determines where a new tab opens on the menu bar?

It sounds that you got redirected to a pagein another locale, as 'anmelden' likely means login in another language.
