Upgraded to latest 64bit. Now Hyperlinks from MS-Outlook blocked. How to unblock?

MS Office Outlook (2007---was working fine before the upgrade to 54.0 / 64-bit) says, "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

I suspect that I might have clicked on some security / privacy setting that now blocks the hyperlinks. But, I cannot seem to find which setting it is.

Help!

Further to my question: I should probably note: the O/S is Win7 Pro 64-bit; completely up-to-date. Did not change any privacy settings within MS-Outlook, so the fault would seem to lie within FireFox. Note that I had previously been using FF V54 in 32-bit mode, and did not have this problem!

Was it just a routine install, or did you switch from 32-bit to 64-bit, and/or did the Firefox program path change?

There are various odd circumstances which cause that error. The Slipstick site, which has excellent help for Outlook, has an article:

This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions

Does that help?

Right! Well, that took a bit of effort: I first set the Default Browser to Explorer and re-started....no success. I then UnInstalled CHROME, and re-started.....no suceess. I then used REGEDIT and changed all the browser file types to htmlfile, and re-started....SUCCESS! Not being one to leave well-enough alone, I then re-set my default browser to FireFox and re-started.....SUCCESS! I have not been able to use any browser other than CHROME to interface with a particular "Go-Daddy" type of web-developer system, so I will eventually have to reinstall CHROME and see what explodes then....

Thanks VERY much for your help! Finding a solution to this on my own would have never happened. Kind regards... EmGee

Chrome can peacefully coexist if you do not let it make itself the default browser. Mine makes an appearance every now and then.
