I want to break up with Google too, but you should make it easier to those that want to do the same: there's no Firefox (any release) available in any store that it's not Google Play or Apple/iTunes — could you:

1. Join an alternative store like F-Droid? Any Store, really, I just want an official channel. 2. Make available direct links at the website — couldn't find any, only those that sent me to Google Play :( 3. Enable nightly auto update (or updates through #2)

I did find it on https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/android/nightly/all/ — but that's really difficult to find (could only do it on a desktop).

My most sincere thank you for all the privacy+Firefox initiatives you are engaged upon. I'm trying to break up with Google myself, and you are a really good support for this :)

Cheers,

Guilherme Capilé

Hi

Thank you for mentioning this.

Whilst I am not aware of any plans to make Release and Beta versions of Firefox for Android easily abailable outside of Google Play, prior to you asking about this, I have already been in contact with members of the Firefox for Android team about making sure that Nightly is available outside of Google Play and I hope that this will continue to be the case.
