Before I updated my firefox to the newest version, it worked seamlessly but after I got new version (latest), I am experiencing problems. Every time I open a link in a new tab in the same window, it takes a few seconds to load the page and that has never happened with the previous version. Even one time the link failed to load completely. it has happened more often with youtube video links. Thanks

What previous and now version are we talking about? There has to be some info details here and what sites are you referring to as well. Since just general announcements of problems tells no useful information to start.

Note with the patches for this https://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/3023893/opera-mozilla-vivaldi-and-more-rush-to-patch-spectre-and-meltdown-security-holes some have noticed slow down especially after Windows update for below Win 10.

Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to...Test and go up again , go back down, it will eventually get a zone you and it can live with.

Go to the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Note : Hardware Acceleration is for Video Card, Monitor to see if remain off or to turn back on.
