We're using Nextcloud for files. Setting the default action in Firefox like Word, Excel, etc files there is always a confirmation dialog even though "Do this automatically for files like this from now on" is checked. Can the dialog be disabled and Firefox simply open the requested file?

"Do this automatically for files like this from now on" only works for files sedn with a valid MIME type.

If file are send as content-disposition or with a generic content type like application/octet-stream" then this won't have effect.

You can check the handlers.json file to see how this action is stored.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
