On chrome, you can mouse over a thumbnail of video and see a quick 5 second preview of the video. is there a setting to make this posible on firefox?

That might be something only implemented from Google if your using Chrome. Did you also contact them asking how come chrome does the preview and not other Browser?

I can't tell why the "mouseover" script shows that very brief snippet in Chrome and not in Firefox. It really is short, though. To me, it seems like just some eye candy for those who are slow to click rather than anything useful...
