Perhaps a screenshot of what you see will help explain.

Firefox Releases since 53.0 (well actually the 52.0 Release itself also) has only allowed one NPAPI Plugin to run and that is the Flash Player Plugin from Adobe. Only the Firefox 52 ESR allowed other NPAPI Plugins to run. The Win64 Firefox only allowed Flash Player and Silverlight to run though. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins

Note The NPAPI Java Plugin from Oracle and JavaScript built in Firefox are two separate things as JavaScript was originally going to be called LiveScript. http://kb.mozillazine.org/JavaScript_is_not_Java

There is or was Fake urgent Firefox update pages that tried to trick Firefox users into download so called patch files name firefox-patch.js or similar names. This only target Firefox users on Windows and not on Mac OSX and Linux. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/i-found-fake-firefox-update

Firefox updates are done either by download from say www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ or by internal software updates (with a .mar file) and not by way of a .js file. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version

Hi, you do not mention what the window wants to update and you have Java turned off so I would suggest following this please : Please use more than 1 scanner as each uses diff tech :

Save your Report and google each before deleting anything as do not want to delete something you need, If need help :

Post in only 1 forum, then wait.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
