Need Firefox 5.3.0 for WinXP but cant find secure site that gives me this version
I am trying to download a version of Firefox that works with WinXP sp3 & my research indicates that this is 5.3.0. However when I grab what I believe is the correct EXE file it does not want to run and extract the software. Can you pls give me a secure url where I can download the EXE file for subsequent installation on a number of XP machines.
If Firefox 5.3.0 is not the correct version for XP, pls provide a secure url where I can grab the correct version.

There is no such 5.3.0 (five.three.zero) version of Firefox. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/releases/
Firefox 53.0 (fifty-three point zero) and later including the current 60.0 requires Windows 7,8,10.
So the legacy Firefox 52.0 ESR is the latest you can use on the old EOL Windows XP and Vista. Firefox 52.8.1 (fifty-two.eight.one) is the current and 52.9.0 esr out on June 26 will be the last major update and will be EOL on Sept 5 when 60.2.0esr is Released.

This version is really outdated, on WinXP you should have the latest Firefox 52ESR.

Hello,
Tnx for the info. At 70+ obviously my eyes are not what they were.
I have been able to install the current version now. Will my current installation automatically prompt me about the last version OR which site will give me the ability to download the last version?
Pls advise
You should get prompted when there is a update, or can look by going to Help --> About and if there is a update it will say.
