Why are my bookmarks missing after reinstall?
Mozilla Firefox would not open, so I uninstalled it through Control Panel (Windows 10) and reinstalled the program. Now all my previous bookmarks are MISSING and I can't seem to restore them. Everytime I try to restore, it gives me a set of bookmarks that appear to be from many years ago, but not my substantial list of bookmarks I have had for the past few years. Your support is really terrible in explaining how to restore previous bookmarks after a reinstall, which would seem like a pretty common issue. I suspect that my profile was switched to an old version, but I cannot find the answer to how to get my previous profile and bookmarks back. This should not be that difficult.

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 27.0 r0 by removing it with this tool : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html If you use it Reinstall with Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.154 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Hi, no it is not that common to happen. So if you have already found some bookmarks then it would seem you have followed instructions properly. You went here :
find your Profile/s folder/s and see if there is more than one folder in this location. Bookmarks are in the Profile in this location :
- bookmarks and history: places.sqlite
- bookmark backups: compressed .jsonlz4 JSON backups in the bookmarkbackups folder

fyi for the future or just because you do that with computer stuff :
If you have multiple profiles, please try this:
Type or paste about:profiles in Firefox's address bar and press Enter to load that page. The currently active profile will have this notation:
This is the profile in use and it cannot be deleted.
So make a mental note of which one that is and try one of the others.
