Two days ago Frirefox crashes and won't start again. First I delete the Firefox.app and reinstall, same Problem. Then I uninstall Firefox.app (plus ~Library/Application Support/Firefox and ~/Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox.plist), restart the MacBook Pro and install Firefox again. And Firefox chrashes during every start. Has anybody an idea? Thanks Haio

ok, so it appears to be the same issue (and hopefully also the same solution) as in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1238157.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Unfortunately Firefox crashes immediately after starting. So I can't type anything in the address bar.

with the following steps it should be possible to get a crash id even if firefox is starting on startup:

  1. Click the Finder icon in the dock. On the menu bar, click the Go menu, hold down the option or alt key and select Library. A window will open containing your Library folder. Then open the "Application Support" folder, the "Firefox" folder, the "Crash Reports" folder and finally the "submitted" folder.
  2. Open the 5 most recent files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
  3. Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much! Deleting the "fbplugin" solved the problem. Firefox is working.
