Is the authentication method on your Yahoo account in TB normal password or OAuth2?

more options

I dont know how would I find out ?

more options

Authentication is shown in Tools/Account Settings under Server Settings and Outgoing Server (SMTP). If it's 'normal password' and you change to OAuth2, delete the passwords from Options/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, restart TB, and enter the account password in the browser window when prompted.

password was already OAuth2

Are you sending to a mailing list in TB or is a list passed to TB from 'another software'? There was a recent bug where mailing lists failed if there were spaces or special characters in the list name.

Sending from a mailing list in a separate software

more options

OK, does the list name have spaces, and is your TB v. 68.8?

How do I check my TB version also I am not sure if there are spaces as the system has a separate account for each customer and the emails sent from the system through thunderbird. Also keep getting a message: an error accrued while sending mail. The mail server responded: 554 6.6.0 error sending message for delivery.. please check the message and try again

Just checked and found I am version 68.8.1 (32bit) I think my laptop is 64 bit

Since you have 68.8.1, spaces in the list name shouldn't be an issue, but since you're sending a mailing list on Yahoo, you may need to add your own address in the To: box, and then add the mailing list in the Bcc: or Cc: box. I don't know if that's possible with the 'separate software', but it is a workaround that may help.

I dont have a mailing list as such it's a bunch of customer accounts on a software that automatically send invoices to the customers through TB using the work email which is yahoo. All I know is the software automatically takes the email from the account and sends a single email, and the system goes down the customer list and applies the invoice and sends it to each customer. This was working reasonably well about 3 month ago

If it's not a mailing list, and you have the correct Yahoo account settings, the only thing I can think of is that you're exceeding the mail provider's limit for messages sent per day or hour.

It happens straight off sending the first 30 emails. What setting would I need to check for yahoo ?

more options

Thirty emails is nowhere near the limit for Yahoo:

You might want to create a mailing list and send directly from TB.
