Updated Firefox Android to Version 81.1.1 Fullcreen Viewing Fullscreen while Desktop Site option is ON - Now Crops top and bottom of 16:9 image on not 16:9 Samsug S8 screens. Help?

more options

I updated to Firefox Android to Version 81.1.1 Fullcreen Viewing Fullscreen while Desktop Site option is ON - Now Crops top and bottom of 16:9 image on not 16:9 screens (Samsung S8).

Please fix this! Viewing Desktop Site Previously allowed us to view the whole video without cropping. Mobile website always cropped 16:9 videos on these non-16:9 ratio phone screens and is fairly normal. In previous versions, viewing Desktop Site Option was the solution and prevented the annoying mobile version cropping behavior that prevents seeing the whole image.

This is a problem for us audio video producers, live streamers, etc. who want to view our stream online and know what the video looks like from a viewer's perspective using mobile devices. Example:

  - I run sound during church, use my in my pocket to stream the church service live stream. I can no longer select "Desktop Site" and "Fullscreen" and see the entire 16:9 video image on my wider than 16:9 Samsung S8 phone and view the entire video image on my screen with the device in Landscape rotation. The image is stretched to touch both the left and right edge of screen in landscape and that pushes the top of the video and bottom of the video far off the screen. Super Frustrating to no longer monitor video camera operator shots on my phone.

Secondary issue is that often (not always, but definitely often) when listening to the YouTube Live Stream viewing "Desktop Site" version, the audio will start stuttering while listening to the audio in the background after opening another app to mix the audio being heard in the background. To stop this I can use the Android "Recent Apps" to momentarily toggle back to Firefox playing the YouTube view (which instantly stops the stuttering) and the immediately toggle back to the M/X32 Mixing Station Pro app to resume mixing the audio for the YouTube live stream. This issue predates the Version 81.1.1 by months.

If Android could re-enable viewing the full video image in fullscreen while users request to view "Desktop Site"; and Fix the often stuttering audio performance that develops often after a minute or more of flawless audio when videos are playing in the background and users are navigating other applications like Mix Station apps and Firefox Android users like myself would much appreciate it.

The Background YouTube playback in Firefox and the Desktop Site features are the primary reason I use Firefox Android. I will have no other reason to use Firefox Android if updates strip it of it's previous features and abilities as described above.

Attached is an image showing the differences we should see between the Mobile and Desktop Site view versions of YouTube 16:9 ratio videos in Firefox Android.

Also it is miserable to wipe out all of our settings every time we test a new version and then have to reverse back to a functioning version.
