Thunderbird-when attach .jpg file it displays "in-line" in body of e-mail instad of in list of attachments. After it did this repeatedly in Thunderbird I went to Google Mail and recreated a new e-mail with the attachment. I still displayed "in line" and not in list of attachments. Please help.

So you click the paper clip on the toolbar, add the attachment file name and it appear in the body of the email? I don't think so. I think you are dragging and dropping the attachment which Thunderbird assumes is to be an inline image unless you drop it in the attachment pane. (it appears as you drag to the top right of the address part of the window.

The solution was quite simple: Click "View", uncheck "Display Attachments Inline".
