I use pihole on my home network but firefox doesn't seem to care. i disabled DNS over HTTPS but still it seems it ignores my dns server

you know what, a browser doesn't have to act as a dns resolver, WHY DON'T YOU TRUST OPERATING SYSTEM TO DO THAT ?
