The simplest approach (I think) would be to - install the accounts in default home profile - after installation and functioning, exit thunderbird and copy the account to USB - restart thunderbird and in account settings pane, change the location of account to the USB location. - exit thunderbird and restart and confirm that account is working properly - you're now able to delete the account on default drive's profile, using Linux equivalent of File Explorer.
