I use to be able to open a new Tab and automatically get the home page to appear, now it seems that I either get a generic Firefox home page or a blank one. This is not what I want nor need, if it was I would have chosen it. What is the point of having a home page if you cannot use it??? Having the home page icon now becomes a special icon for a page one just likes to use every time they open a new tab that you have to click on every time you need it. It just happens to be EVERY TIME I open a new tab.

Thanks for your help.

You can look at this extension to set a custom new tab page:

The point of the home page is to appear on startup and in new windows. A lot of malware tries to hijack the new tab page which is why it requires an extension to change it which is more difficult to circumvent.
