I'm having a problem sort of like the one above except without the blue screen of death. Whenever I click on Firefox, my computer will restart itself. I've tried uninstalling, by deleting from the C drive because I couldn't go through the control panel, and it still wouldn't work. I've even tried renaming firefox.exe to firefox3.exe and nothing is working.

I would really love to figure this out because I cannot stand Internet Explorer.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode then clicking on "Disable All Addons" from the box that pops up when starting Firefox in Safe Mode?
