Why is firefox redirecting some sites to wikimedia entry not found?

I'm not sure as to why this is happening to me, but a quick fix on Windows machine was to open cmd.exe and type in ipconfig /flushdns on the command line.
This flushes your cached DNS globally on your computer for all browsers and allows you to visit the sites that were previously affected.
There's no need to restart your PC.
Your plugins list shows outdated plugin(s) with known security and stability risks.

Update the Java plugin to the latest version.
