I would like firefox to remember a password to a web site. The site is not in the exceptions under tools, options, security, exceptions.

The site is able to use remembered passwords as I can and do use remembered passwords for other areas on the same site.

Is there a way to have firefox view this as the first time to the site? Maybe then I can use the remember feature.

Could you please provide me with a URL link to the web page that you are having a problem with?

Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If the latter happens then you have a problem with cookies that are not kept or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Such details are stored in a cookie.

Some sites like PayPal, Yahoo, Windows Live and bank sites use autocomplete="off" to prevent Firefox from saving the name and the password.

If a site uses autocomplete="off" then look at this article for a bookmarklet to remove that autocomplete attribute.

The latest Java version is Java 6 U21, so you are a few versions behind on updates.

The www.scotiaitrade.com site (*) uses a standard log in form without autocomplete=off , so you should be able to save that name and password in the password manager.

You haven't answered my question if you mean storing a password in the password manager or the website remembering you to avoid to log in with every visit.

I mean "the website remembering you to avoid to log in with every visit."

I have cleared the cookies and history and checked the security to make sure it is not an exception, it is not.

I went to the site for the java update, how do I find Java 6 U21 to download from that site?http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
