On the Firefox front page there are the following prompt locations located just under the current page title and just over the back arrow. File, Edit, View, History, bookmarks, tools, and help. My front page has nothing there. It is missing. How can I get it fixed?

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions, the user can turn off the Menu Bar ((File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help).

  • Temporarily display the Menu Bar: press the ALT key or the F10 key and make your selections from the temporarily displayed Menu Bar
  • Toggle the Menu Bar on or off. Do one of the following:
    • NOTE:
      • Menu Bar checked = Menu Bar on (displayed)
      • Menu Bar un-checked = Menu Bar off (not displayed
    • keyboard shortcut: HOLD the ALT key while pressing the letters VTM on your keyboard
    • Using the Menu Bar: click View > Toolbars, click Menu Bar
    • right-click on an empty space in one of the toolbars, click Menu Bar
