I have a 22 inch monitor. Most web pages do not fill the screen not all of them. How can I fix this? Using IE fills the screen.

I prefer Firefox over IE however web pages don`t fill the page. There is 4 inches of blank space on each side of the monitor. Everything is in the middle with small fonts. Very hard to use. Hope you can help.
