The Add-ons Manager is loaded just that you probably have the "Get Add-ons" panel selected and ging the loading icon. Just look to the left and click on the Extensions and if you go back to "Get Add-ons" panel later it should load.

The "Get Add-ons" panel can sometimes load slowly in displaying stuff from addons.mozilla.org, especially on first start probably due to both with people looking for extension./theme updates with the recent releases of Firefox 6.0/3.6.20, Thunderbird 6.0 and SeaMonkey 2.3.0/2.3.1 and the recent change on addons.mozilla.org

My home PC's Add-ons Manager won't load either -- it just says "Loading..." forever, and no commands work. My work PC is fine.

OK, I clicked Extensions, and now it works. Sorry, I did not understand your reply. Thanks.

You can go to another tab like Extensions or Plugins on the about:addons page if Firefox isn't able to load suggestions from the Mozilla server on the Get Add-ons tab.

In my post I mention that the Extensions tab is completely blank. Clicking on it displays a blank Extensions screen. Going back to Get Add-ons does nothing (it's still "loading"). If I attempt to type something in the Search box, nothing comes up either; just "loading". Plugins and Appearance tabs display normally.

This did not happen prior to the last FF update. I have other PCs WITH the latest update that work just fine.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
