How can I speed up firefox regarding loading pages. I've tried EVERYTHING, updating pluggins, disabling things, NOTHING has worked!! every time I update firefox it gets slower and slower when loading pages. The page either takes 2 to 3 minutes to load or it freezes up and will not load at all. The older version of firefox was fine, I had no problems at all with loading pages. Since upgrading to 4, then to 5, to 6 and now 7 the loading time is INCREDIBLY SLOW! Please advise

Thank you for your reply but I've already done everything you've mentioned here and the loading of the pages is still extremely, extremely SLOW. I have not always had this problem with firefox, It use to be very fast until I updated from 4 to 5 then 5 to 6 and now 6 to 7.0. EVERYTIME there was an update, and I was notified to update the browser and I did, this is when the slow loading of the pages began. I've tried everything, all of what you've suggested and other suggestions and nothing as worked. At any rate, thank you for responding...it just looks like I'll have to go back to IE or Safari...

Create a New Profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

-> Basic Troubleshooting: Make a New Profile

IF that New Profile works then you can recover your Bookmarks and Passwords from the Old Profile.

-> Recovering important data from an old profile

Check and tell if its working.
