I am still unable to find live chat open and I check back often.I am using 3.6 version of firefox and need to update, but I am not sure my computer system can handle that or not and I need someone to walk me through it, so that is why I really would like to be able to use live chat. Gladys Bridges

Just download the installer from here

simply run, you can install on top of existing version. Let us know in which step you do stuck.

What I really need to know is if a newer version of Firefox will work with my operating system, which is Windows XP with sp3 and 512 MB ram.

512 MB RAM is just about the recommended amount of RAM for Firefox 9, so you may encounter performance issues if there are a lot of other programs running in Windows. Make sure that you have enough Virtual Memory (at least 1GB, but more like 1.5 or 2 GB is better).
