On session restore, all hell breaks loose: every youtube, swf file sound blasts in cacophony; I thought the open tab only on select would fix this. Worse, I now have sound but no picture, so I unable to even find which tab is making all the noise.

I use Flashblock. Most YouTube videos are still Flash. That would help the situation a lot anyway.

That is what I hoped was the answer; it isn't. Previous reply is the best so far: use an add-on. Worse: F/F 10 has sound but no picture -- to confirm -- so even less idea of what tab [blank!] is making the noise.
