Each of the last two times I've been prompted to update, my bookmarks have dissapeared. Thoughts?
Twice in the last 2 or 3 months, I've been prompted to upgrade my mozilla browser. Both times all of my bookmarks and tabs have disappeared without a trace. Why would this have happened, and is there any way to get them back?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
