Can you copy/paste or post a screen shot of the message you're getting?

In particular, is it related to secure (HTTPS) access but not regular (HTTP) access?

Edit: By the way, your browser is detected as Firefox 9. Which version actually has the problem?

Heres a copy paste of what I posted on Deviant Art which is also one of many other sites that are having issues with Firefox.

The DeviantArt message says your system clock is set to 5/14/2010. Can you check that? If you are running Firefox in a VM (such as XP Mode on some versions of Windows 7), check the time in the VM.

As for the update not installing, have you tried restarting Windows to make sure all file locks are flushed?

Yes, this may not be a Firefox issue whether it be the old 9.0.1 or 12.0 but due to your system calender date being wrong. This based on the date in the one you got for Deviant Art.

The system calender date being wrong is usually the reason for this.
