Since the last security update a few days ago, Firefox crashes with amazing regularity. It crashes several times a day, sometimes several times in an hour.

Unfortunately that crash report wasn't sent, possibly because of throttling to prevent too many crash reports being sent.

You can check if you can find a crash report that has been submitted by opening the link to the crash-stats.mozilla.com site.

Did you try any of the troubleshooting steps in the knowledge base articles?

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these in case that plugin is involved.

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
  • downgrade the Flash player to version 10.3 or 11.2

The "Firefixer" download link in the previous reply was reviewed and removed by a moderator yesterday. Anyone who received that link in an e-mail notification should not download and run the FireFix.exe file.
