I hate that so many videos begin at full volume. Is there any way that Firefox can affect any parameters for volume control on the Flash plug-in ? Doesn't look like the plug-in is programmable itself, but what do I know. Or Is there an entirely different approach to making sure 'any' video can't begin at full volume ?

Having total control over video (or audio.. mp3, etc.) begin volume ... this would be one heck of a popular feature to put into a version of Firefox itself. OR.... I'm still thinking this through.... why not some sort of faux-decibal meter that will not allow volume past a set point. THAT would be a neat background utility to add into the existing volume control tool.

Help me out here, guys

hello rbnoah, i think this can be handled by your operating system - it should be possible to assign different volume levels for different applications (& also the flash plugin): http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/5228/simple-tips-windows-7-volume-mixer-enables-quick-access-to-sound-settings/
