Hello, recently I have noticed that when I type in my address bar, I get results that I have not seen before. When i type in "facebook", the facebook page comes up in my address bar, but also in bold black I see a mangifying glass like its a recent search i did, and it just says facebook. When I click on it it gives me a bing search for facebook. How do i remove these bing search suggestions from my address bar? Depending on what im trying to navigate to, i get anywhere from 3-10 searches and I can't see any of my history to navigate.

Sorry for the double post, but here is a picture to show you what I mean. I want the top 3 links to go away.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Thank you for the reply. I started firefox in safe mode and when I checked to see if I was still getting the search suggestions, I was not. I ended up removing some addon called utorrent helper or something like that. After I deleted the addon, I no longer had the suggestions. Thanks so much!

You're welcome.

Some add-ons come with unwanted extras, so it is a good idea to keep on eye on that.
