Why does Mozilla not recognize SeaMonkey as a Mozzila product?

I always get sites that tell me that Seamonkey is not supported. They can be sites like Yahoo mail, Epic Citidal etc. These sites reject when Seamonkey reports being Firefox compatible. Now I can understand at some level that other sites do not recognize the product, but why does Mozilla not recognize its own product?

It may not help with some websites that you have a old version of SeaMonkey 2.7.2 (two.seven.two) from Feb 2012 when the current version is 2.24 (two.twenty-four) released recently.

The SeaMonkey project is a community effort and not Mozilla as they dropped the suite as of Mozilla 1.7.13 back in 2006.

Also this forum is for Firefox support on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and for mobile Firefox on Android and for Firefox OS. Soon to be for Thunderbird now also.

SeaMonkey users can get support at places like http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=51 and mozilla.support.seamonkey newsgroup.
