firefox doesn't display printable credit card statements

more options

I get paperless credit card statements and I always print a single page summary of the statement. I log in to my credit account and select view/print statement. It appears as a PDF, but Firefox shows just a blank page. There is no error dialog. If I follow the same procedure using Internet Explorer, it works fine. This happens with both my Discover and Visa cards. My current version of Firefox is 28.0. The operating system is XP and it is the current version with all updates installed. The secure websites for both credit cards work fine. I can view my statements okay, but cannot view the printable version of the statements. Why does IE succeed, but Firefox doesn't?

Hello,

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.

  • Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

But this also may be do you Windows xp support ended. But try this first.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Sounds as if the built in PDF reader isn't fully compatible with those statements.
